Hot rolled steel is rolled on a continuous strip mill, generally above 1600 degrees Fahrenheit (870 Celsius), to the desired thickness. The steel is supplied with either a standard black finish or pickled and oiled, in slit
coil or sheet form.

Suitable for simple bending and moderate forming, mechanical properties not specified
- Drawing Quality (A-621)
Improved Formability and better consistency that Commercial Quality
- Drawing Quality (A-622)
Non Aging Steel, eliminates possible fluting and stretcher strains during forming

Specified whenever guaranteed mechanical properties are required

Cold rolled steel is produced be further processing hot rolled steel through cold reduction mills (at room temperature) followed by annealing and/or temper rolling to produce steel with closer dimensional tolerances and a wider
range of finishes

Galvanized or zinc coated steels are unexcelled where economy, strength and corrosion resistance are the prime requirements. These products are available with a variety of coating weights, surface finishes and mechanical
properties, designed to meet the particular requirement of the customer
- Commercial Quality (ASTM A-526)
Good formability where mechanical properties not specified
- Structural (ASTM A-446)
Moderate formability with minimum mechanical properties specified. Five grades (A-E) provide increasing strength level with corresponding decreases in ductility
- Lockforming (ASTM A-527)
Excellent formability
- Drawing Quality (ASTM A-528)

Aluminum in its various forms is stocked in a range of strengths varying from that of Specification 1100-0 (which has a yield strength of around 5000 lbs per square inch) to that of Specification 7075-T6 (yield strength of
about 70,000 lbs per square inch)
- Utility Sheet
is used for all general sheet metal work such as flashing, ductwork, lining walls, etc.
- 1100-0
is used primarily for spinning and deep drawing operations such as utensils, ornaments, etc.
- 1100-H14 and 3300-H14
are specification alloys used for general forming operations.
- 3105-H14
is a sister alloy to 3003-H14. It is similar in it's characteristics with a minimum of 32% of recycled secondary aluminum. this allow is suitable for residential and industrial pained siding, signs, license
plates, etc.
- 2024-0 and 2024-T3 ALCLAD
are used primarily in the aircraft industry, where a high strength weight ratio is required.
- 5005-H34
similar in physical characteristics to 3003-H14 with superior corrosion resistance and a homogenous smooth surface finish suitable for anodizing. This alloy is suitable for curtain walls, decorative trim,
control panel boxes and signs, etc.
- 5083-H31 and H323
is one alloy of different tempers that produces high weld joint efficiencies. It is used for tank work, heavy transport, etc., where its welded properties can be used to advantage.
- 5052-H32 and H34
is a superior strength alloy of good forming qualities and is especially suited for Marine applications.
- 5454-H32
is a sister alloy to 5083 with a lower rating to stress corrosion when functioning in the 150 to 300 degree Fahrenheit range. Typical uses are dump truck bodies, tanker trucks, exhaust stacks, etc.
- 6061-T6
is an excellent all purpose alloy, having high strength and good corrosion resistance. It is used for all structural applications such as mine cars, logging chutes and ship construction.
- 7075-0 and 7075-T6 ALCLAD
are the highest strength alloys produced and are used primarily for aircraft.

- Type 304 and 304L
Carbon is limited. Offers superior corrosion resistance in weld-affected areas
- Type 321 and 347
Similar in general corrosion resistance to Type 304 and Type 302. Stabilizing additions immunize corrosion attach on heat affected areas. High temperature service 800 to 1600 degrees F. For severe corrosion
conditions in welded assemblies which cannot be subsequently annealed
- Type 316 and 316L
Exceptional corrosion resistance, improved creep strength. Severe corrosive conditions particularly those involving pit-type corrosion
- Type 317L
With its 0.03 maximum carbon, it is used in applications where post weld annealing is not possible and where maximum corrosion resistance is required. Pulp and paper machinery power scrubbers
- Type 2205
Highly resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking and has almost twice the strength of Type 304 and Type 316
- Type 444
Suited to severe corrosion conditions. Good resistance to pitting corrosion in chloride medium. Used in hot water tanks, heat exchangers, solar panels
- Series 200
A group of austenitic stainless steels originally developed to conserve nickel. The 200 series possess desirable mechanical and corrosion resisting properties similar to their corresponding chromium nickel
types and deserve consideration on their own merits
- Type 303
Galling and seizing reduced, machining greatly improved. Gears, valves, bolts, screws, or other machined products
- Type 309 and 309L
Exceptionally stress resistant at high temperature exposure. In service where temperatures up to 1900 degree F are encountered
- Type 310 and 310S
Offers superior resistance to oxidation. Applied where very high temperatures are involved.

- Type 430
Good corrosion resistance. Automotive and interior architectural trim, some specific chemical applications
- Type 446
Limited formability, generally not adapted to severe drawing. Excellent scaling resistance. Principally used at high temperatures up to 2000 degrees F for static parts not subjected to high stress
- Type 410
Martensitic grade, strengthened by conventional heating and quenching. Engaging mechanical parts. such as pump rods and valves
- Type 403
Composition basically same as Type 410. Modified analysis suited for turbine blades and similar applications
- Type 405
Composition basically same as Type 410. Modified analysis for applications requiring field welding where air-hardening cannot be corrected by heat treatment
- Type 409
Limited corrosion resistance due to low Chromium content. Used for automobile mufflers and other applications requiring some resistance to heat and corrosion
- Type 501
Welding hardens, annealing restores ductility. Used in petroleum industries for strength and resistance to corrosion and oxidation at moderately high temperatures
- Type 502
Basically same as regular Type 501. Modified analysis reduces tendency to weld-harden
